Privacy Policy

1. Overview

The timer works offline. The app does not collect, transmit, or share personal data through the timer. The developer cannot see your sessions or settings.

2. Information stored on the device

The app saves your last selected work and rest durations. It also saves the start time of an active session so the countdown resumes correctly after closing and reopening the app. The app’s own widgets on the same device can read these values. This is not an activity history or a user profile.

3. Data collection and sharing

The app does not upload timer settings or session state to the developer or their servers. The developer does not receive or store your timer settings or personal information from the timer. Operating-system backups or device transfers may depend on your settings and the operating-system provider’s policies; this is separate from data collection by the developer.

4. Accounts, analytics, and advertising

The app requires no registration or sign-in. It contains no advertising, analytics, or activity tracking, and offers no subscriptions.

5. Internet connectivity

You do not need an internet connection to choose durations, start the timer, or alternate work and rest. Store downloads, purchases, and updates are separate Apple or Google services. Developer website and contact links you choose to open use your browser or email app. The YouTube video embedded on this website is an online service and is not part of the mobile timer.

6. Screen-awake behavior and device permissions

During an active timer while the app is in the foreground, the screen can stay awake so the countdown remains visible. This behavior ends when the timer stops or the app moves into the background.

The app can request local notification permission for phase-change chimes. On Android, a foreground service, exact alarms, and restart handling support the countdown and notifications. These features use timer state on the device.

7. Data retention and deletion

Change saved durations using the selection wheels before starting another session. Stopping the timer clears the saved active-session start time while keeping your durations for next time. Uninstalling the app removes its local data; an operating-system backup may restore settings on reinstallation. The developer has no copy to restore or delete on your behalf.

8. App Store and Google Play purchases

Pomodoro: Focus & Rest is planned to be sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store and Google Play when released. It is not a subscription. Apple and Google handle payments and refunds under their respective policies. The app does not operate a payment system or receive payment-card details. Stores may retain transaction records or provide sales information to the developer under their terms; the developer does not control all store-side records.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app or its data handling changes, I will update this policy and the last-updated date on this page.
